There's a girl I know
Who makes me feel so good,
And I wouldn't live without her
Even if I could...
Wow, is it August already? Time certainly does fly... July was pretty busy. Gina, Hannah, and I took a day trip to Philadelphia and visited the Please Touch Museum, geared for children; all three of us had fun there. We also got to see the Liberty Bell together, though the rain stamped out any ideas of visiting the Zoo. Next time... We do have to go back for Philly cheese steaks, too, since we missed out this time around. We did manage to have sushi two nights in a row, which was great, and to watch "Spider-Man 2" on the big screen and "Love Actually" and some "Honeymooners" episodes on the small screen. And lately I've been overplaying the Monkees boxed set she gave me for last month's anniversary. Wheee...!
Jon and I threw a small CD release party, which ended up being two weeks before the CD actually arrived in my hands. Heh-heh... But it's here! Finally, after so much planning and talking about it, "Joy in the New" is a reality. If you haven't ordered a copy yet... well, I just don't know what's wrong with you. I gave Gina her copy, the first one to be distributed, tonight. We had some more sushi of course, from Shop-Rite this time (hey, it's not bad at all!), and followed it with raspberry sorbet from Edy's while watching more "Honeymooners." My honey's got an injured, possibly sprained, ankle. I don't think my kisses really helped it...
Work has been running me into the ground, too. As if the stress of having my baby go away every few days lately and the interminable delays in CD production haven't been enough, I'm finding myself dealing with one support phone call right after another, some days. Guess I'll just have to see if things get better, or if I can stick it out.
When I moved to Lyndhurst last November, I brought myself within three or four miles of my parents' apartment, which made it easy to get together. Perhaps that was too close for their comfort. ;) They moved further south this weekend. I will still see them, of course, but maybe not as frequently as before...
OK, that's all I have to say at the moment. Wow. August. Summer's almost
over, huh? Well, I'll see you next month...
